Article One is an independent eyewear company based in Flint Michigan.   They produce handcrafted frames in a small village in Northern Italy.

The family owned factory has 12 craftsman who are experts in what they do.  One of the smallest components of eyewear is often the most revealing of its quality.  Hinges, screws, and wire core are the unsung heroes of luxury, which is why they work with the best.

Article One was founded to raise awareness and funding for Vitamin A deficiency in undeserved communities.   Globally about 500,000 children go blind each year from Vitamin A deficiency, and half of those children die within 12 months as a result of Vitamin A deficiency.  It cost just $1 for a years supply of supplements for one child.  Article One supports Helen Keller International with a donation from each frame sold.
